Jo Buonaguidi & Friends
Jo Buonaguidi, Emma Forrester, Chris Owen and Rachel Ducker

In August, four established artists will be collaborating to form a new group show. They are comprised of two painters- Jo Buonaguidi and Emma Forrester,
ceramicist- Chris Owen and sculptor - Rachel Ducker.

Jo Buonaguidi's work reflects her love of music and dance, her ''Dancing Lines Series'' beautifully capture the movement and energy of dancers. She worked for many years as a professional dancer, the experience of which can easily be seen in the vibrancy of her artwork.

Emma Forrester worked for many years in the theatre painting scenery on West End Shows. She now concentrates on producing her own artwork - vibrant flower paintings and beautiful still lives. She cites her influences as many and varied, ranging from artists such as Matisse, to a love of pattern, texture and form found naturally all around us.

Chris Owen's exquisite pots are inspired by a long standing interest in early Chinese ceramics. In Chris's words: ''My focus is still on exploring oriental shapes and motifs. I now emboss my pots with Chinese characters. I choose the characters I use with care- both for their personal meaning to me and for their formal beauty.''

Rachel Ducker originally trained as a jeweler. Her fascination and love for working with metal, led her to experiment with wire as a medium for sculpting the human form. Rachel's strong urge to create combined with being well practiced in life drawing have led to a dynamic and
vital body of work. She says of her work- ''My sculptures being featureless leaves the posture to say all and the hands are the main vehicle for expressing this feeling.
