This
exhibition invites us to contemplate nature in its many
forms through the interpretations of flora and the landscape
by Lynette, the beauty of the Outer Hebrides represented
in Diane’s seascapes and Mike’s unique approach
to abstraction,
Mike
has developed a unique pouring method to produce his
ethereal paintings allowing the viewer to make their
own interpretation. His colours range from exciting
yellows, reds and blues in some paintings to more subdued
earthy ochre and raw umbers in others.
Diane’s
love of the sea is evident in all her beautiful scenes
of the Scottish islands. Many days spent sailing in
Europe and Australia, have left images in her memory
that flood into her other paintings .
Lynette’s
paintings range from detailed flora to abstracted landscapes
replicating the way we enjoy the beauty of a single
bloom or the ever-changing skies and vistas of our environment.
