Elements
of Nature combines visually contrasting works by two
female artists. Using nature as their inspiration however
one finds a harmonious and complimentary relationship
between the two art forms.
Sharon creates large impacting abstract landscapes,
resulting in very dynamic individual pieces. Her stunning
and vibrant paintings portray natures' visual richness
through the use of colour, shape and texture. Dramatic
forms in nature are skilfully captured through Sharon's
organic and highly expressive approach to oil painting.
To capture the female and her ‘inner being', along
with her relationship with nature is the motivation
behind Jo's work. Her hand carved stone sculptures embody
the serenity and beauty of mother nature within the
sensuality of the female form. Jo's flowing use of line,
the soulful expressions she captures within each piece
contribute to making these striking and unique pieces.
