Our new season’s shows: March and April 2026

Thank you so much for coming out in all weathers to visit our shows so far this year. As we move towards Spring we, like everyone, are hoping to see more sunshine. Our shows change fortnightly and this newsletter contains a taste of what to expect in the next two months including a few snippets from some of our members’ own studios.

From Tuesday 3rd to Sunday 15th March we have Living Landscapes with Yulia Robinson, Ben Nicolas and Georgi Morris. Explore a visual journey through paintings and sculptures, inspired by travels across Australia, where nature reveals its timeless essence through the four elements: earth, sky, ocean and fire.

Next is A Place We Both Know from 17th to 29th March with Stephanie Wilkinson and Emma Champion. Showing together for the first time both artists share a common theme of investigating subtle narratives of presence, absence, and imagined environments in poetic, dreamy and playful ways. Be sure to be intrigued and delighted! 

Flora and Form with new member Vicky Oldfield, exhibiting with Roya Pourzadi Gilham, runs from 31st March to 12th April. They’ll be showing gorgeous prints and ceramics capturing the fleeting beauty of flowers and the quiet strength of form.

Blurring Boundaries with guest artists Caroline Sayer, Rue Turner and Sue Ribbans runs from 14th to 26th April. With collages, prints, sculptures and fine landscape oil paintings they explore the human-nature connection.

And now for a little news from our members about other shows and activities they are up to in the next couple of months. You might find something to your fancy.

Ann Marie Whaley will be attending the private view of this year's Diana Armfield Drawing from Observation Competition, at 6pm on Monday March 2, where some of her drawings will be exhibited. The exhibition is at the Patch, York Street, Twickenham continues until 6th March.

Jim Woodman will be exhibiting at the Art Surrey art fair to be held at Sandown Park from the 20th to 22nd March and at the Fresh Art Fair at Cheltenham from the 23rd to 26th April. For complimentary tickets to either event please contact Jim Woodman (www.jimwoodman.co.uk)

Alison Holt is busy preparing to teach students on her 3 day courses in Oswestry, Shropshire this spring and summer. She teaches freemotion machine embroidery and silk painting. A fascinating combination that creates varying surfaces to each piece. Each course has a theme. This year she is offering in March, Trees and Topiary, Seascapes in June and Colourful Landscapes in August.

Tessa Pearson is busy in her studio making new work for upcoming shows. She will be teaching a fabulous workshop in Devon from 12th to 17th April painting Big Bold Flowers in watercolour- places still available:
