Sharon Withers

Sharon is a young artist known for creating large scale abstract landscape work and triptych oil paintings. The paintings are based on shapes and textures found in nature and their symbolic meanings. Her work combines visual richness through the use of colour and focuses on textural depth. Through the process of layering and texture residues of past disturbances are visible leaving an imprint of the event. The work is designed to intrigue and challenge your perception of the natural world. Sharon’s work can be found worldwide from America to Europe in private collections and corporate establishments.

Graduating from The Slade School of Fine Art in 1999. Sharon then went on to feature as one of six finalists in The Gilchrist Fisher Award for young landscape Artists at the renowned Rebecca Hossack Gallery in London.

Recent shows include No Naked Walls Gallery in Chertsey, Fulham Palace Art Fair in London, VIVARTIS exhibition at King Edwards, Astarte Gallery in Petworth, Forest Gallery in Guildford and of course The Fountain Gallery in Hampton Court.
